Recover office attachment opened directly from an email

Symptom: when opening file and working directly on the attachment and then – crash.
You think your 4 hours or work is for nothing…but actually the Office system saves the file you worked on under a secure Directory called OLK temporary folder.
The folder is located in different places under different Operating systems with different Office versions.
To see where the file is located you should go to as registry key as follow:

Outlook 2000 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Security
Outlook 2002/XP HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security
Outlook 2003 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security
Outlook 2007 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security

1. Start > run > regedit
2. Browse to one of the keys above (depends on your OS and Office)
3. Open the string value called: " OutlookSecureTempFolder"
4. Copy the "value data" and paste it to file explorer.

In windows XP should be located under:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKxxx

In windows vista should be located under:
C:\users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\xxxxxString  (like XLupUT3R)
