Migrate roaming profiles from windows XP to windows 7 on windows 2003 server

Migrating roaming profiles that were built on windows XP on windows 2003 server to windows 7 roaming profiles on same server demand some procedures that involves creating a new .V2 profiles associated to windows 7 with folder redirection group policy method. The following solution will combine both folder redirection and roaming profile method .
Creating a new share and update the path on user properties to something looks like: \\servername\UserShareName\.V2  will not do the work in this case as windows 2003 server acts to this syntax in a different way than windows 2008 server is, so that the folder will not sync with the server on logon and logoff procedure.
The first step of the migration is preparing the group policy object that will apply to all computers placed in the new windows 7 OU as follow:
1.On Active directory (or GPO snap-in) create a new GPO and name it "windows 7 migrated" and create a new OU with the name "windows 7"
2.Under  "computer configuration" < set the home folder path to the old path or create a new hidden folder in the server and set the path to something looks like this:
\\HomeFolderServerName\ShareName$\%username%
This operation will automatically create a home folder
This will automatically create the initiate username under the user profiles folder.
3.Under  "user configuration" < folder redirection < set the following configurations:
Desktop – to a path look like this: \\HomeFolderServerName\ShareName$\%username%\desktop
My documents– to a path look like this:
\\HomeFolderServerName\ShareName$\%username%\My documents
Downloads – to a path look like this:
\\HomeFolderServerName\ShareName$\%username%\downloads
Favorites – – to a path look like this:
\\HomeFolderServerName\ShareName$\%username%\favorites

4.Under "network\offline files" set the offline sync to the right profile:
\\HomeFolderServerName\ShareName$\%userprofile%

The first step of the migration will be setting a GPO for roaming profiles for "App data" which will not sync with server. Desktop, my documents, downloads and favorites will sync in folder redirection but application like Outlook will not roam in a folder redirection method, so that roaming profile event should occur to roam the outlook data (Exchange server and user credentials). The roaming profile is much similar to open a regular .V2 windows 7 roaming profile.

To Migrate old users:
1.Make sure the user machine is located under the OU "windows 7" that was created on section 1. Also make sure that the GPO "windows 7 migrated" is inherited for this OU.
2.Login one time so that server will automatically create the .V2 folder with all appropriate subfolder.
3.Make sure full access permissions set for the user to his .V2 folder.
4.Logoff
5.Login to windows 2003 server and copy all data from old profile to new profile parallel (desktop<desktop, downloads<download etc).
6.Login back and see that all material located under the new .V2 profile.
7.Configure outlook settings and add a printer to test full roaming functions.
8.Login in a new computer located under the same OU and see if all material and Application data (as Outlook) and printers roamed.

To create new users:
1.Make sure the user machine is located under the OU "windows 7" that was created on section 1. Also make sure that the GPO "windows 7 migrated" is inherited for this OU.
2.Login to configure Outlook and place some files under desktop, my documents etc to test.
3.Logoff
4.Login in a new computer located under the same OU and see if all material and Application data (as Outlook) and printers roamed.
