How to enable or disable Symantec endpoint client from scanning emails


Symantec antivirus can really be annoying when it comes to pop3 and imap scanning. There are many ways to configure
Email using some 3th party tools, but if you don’t want Symantec endpoint protection to scan your emails simply do the following:

1. Open the Symantec endpoint protection client.
2. Go to > change settings.
3. Press "configure settings" under "Antivirus and antispy protection".
4. Go to > internet email auto protect.
5. Uncheck the "enable internet email auto protect".
